signatures to stop them introducing this new tax.
Please let everyone you know about this ‘stealth tax’. Apparently they have not let anyone know that this petition is on their web site – I wonder why!!

The government proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you will have to purchase a tracking device for your car and paying a monthly bill to use it.
The device will cost about £200 and in recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill will be £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver.
A non working mother who used the car to take the kids to school
paid £86 per month.
On top of this massive tax increase you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times.
They will also know how fast you are going, so even if you accidently creep over a speed limit, in time you can probably expect a Notice of Intended Prosecution with your monthly bill.

The idea of tracking every vehicle at all times is sinister and wrong.
Road pricing is already here with the high level of taxation on fuel. The more you travel – the more tax you pay.
It will be an unfair tax on those who live apart from families and poorer people who will not be able to afford the high monthly costs.
Please Mr Blair – forget about road pricing and concentrate on improving our roads to reduce congestion.
