We are born, we live, we die and then what? · 22 May 2006

We live, and most of us live quite uneventful lives with small problems that are eventually overcome over a period of time. I am thinking of my life. I have been poor, but never starved. I have had grievances committed against me and my children but no-one died because of them. My only real survival worry is what to eat today, and there is normally something in the house to prepare to eat and drink.

My life is whether the sun is going to shine today and complain because it isn’t. Or whether it is going to rain today and complain because it is. Or whether it is going to be hot again today and complain because it is. My life is finding the energy to clean the house. My life is being available to help those in need – honourable you may think? Not really, just a human basic instinct, I think. And even though my life sounds boring, it isn’t!

Life for me is simple enjoyment and enjoying the wonder of this world.

And one day my life is going to end. So what is the point of it?

If I had a terrible life, I would still wonder, even more so, at the point of it.

I learnt, when I was at school, that God would end the world which makes me wonder even more at the point of life.

I have read that science says that an intelligent design started the world.
If it was designed then it was a thought intelligence before it was created.
And if the world was a thought before it came into being, then something was around to think it before the world began.
If there was something around before the world began, then there imust be somewhere to go after the world ceases to be.

Which makes me think from a scientific point of view that there is life after death.

However, I believe in God from a spiritual point of view. And I don’t need science to tell me because God has already told me and I do believe in Him.

Still I wonder at the Alpha and Omega piece in the book of Revelations. I am not sure how or when God will end the world, but I am sure that He will end the evilness in the world and when that happens it will be terrible and I don’t want to be around when it happens. I don’t want anyone to be around when it happens. It will be bad, very, very bad. It will be people that will be destroyed, because evil is not in the world it is in people.

To illustrate His purpose for mankind, God chose a race of people. He chose the Jews. The Bible is an account of how God looks after His people and it is a testamony to all of mankind, how mankind will be dealt with.
Through history, God shows us His love of the Jews and the way He leads them and gives them what they want. They are promised great riches and a wonderful life if they follow His precepts. The Jews today still know and believe this, they are still waiting for God to save them.
They heard God when He said He would make them wealthy but they chose not hear Him when He said that He would punish them if they didn’t follow his precepts. One such precept was to keep the land fallow after 7 years, but not to worry because on the 6th year, God would provide enough food abundantly for the 7th and the 8th to see them through.

These days this advice makes sound sense and those of us into organic produce and chemical free food can see the sense in this advice. God allowed them their mistakes and quite frankly, rank disobedience when they didn’t comply. For hundreds of years, He advised and waited for them to follow the 7th year sabatical as it was called. Finally He carried out His threat of captivity if they didn’t follow His precept and the Israelites were captured by the Babylonians and so began the start of the Israelites leaving their land and not returning for thousands of years. And if God had chosen the Britons as a race to illustrate His precepts, we would have behaved in exactly the same fashion, so don’t go disregarding the Jewish race.

But God kept the Jews in the knowledge of their culture and still He looked out for them, finally sending them the Saviour they had been waiting for, that they had learnt about through the prophets. That Saviour is Jesus Christ and many Jews recognised Him and turned to Him and accepted His forgiveness and grace. But the Jewish race as a whole did not. It continued on with its proud heart in the old ways of the Jewish culture, not understanding that that culture had changed when Jesus came.

God had warned them through the prophet Ezekial what would happen to the race. They would be taken from their land and scattered among the nations. That they would be persecuted. He warned that we would know when the End Times would be

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 ¶ And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.)and the axis of the earth would be shaken (Isaiah Chapter 13:13 Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.) which is what happened in the tsunami on Boxing Day 2004. It is thought that the end would come during the time that the Jews were given back their land.

In 1948, the Jews were given Israel back, for the first time in thousands of years the Jews went back to Israel – an historical and prophetic event and not to be treated lightly. Not only the Jews will suffer when God puts an end to evil. Every man, woman and child will suffer who does not acknowledge God and His son Jesus Christ.

This is all predicted in the bible but what isn’t predicted is the exact timing. The apostles of Jesus thought that the end would come during their lifetime. God gave us another 2000 years to change our minds about Him, to turn to Him.

Christians alive at the time of the end will be taken up into the atmosphere. I learnt about this just two years ago and quite honestly I was opened mouthed with incredulity! It seems too surreal to think that millions of Christians will simply disappear from the face of the earth. Not only that but that dead people will rise out of their graves! It is like the most fantastic of fantasy films. However if the bible says it will happen, it will, just wait and see. And then look around you at what is left. There will be a one world religion, one world government. Everyone will not be able to conduct transactions without a mark on their right hand or forehead, because they will have to have an implant into their hand or head with their unique number to gain their money, and to have that implant they will have to succumb to the rules of the one world government. The 10 commandments which make perfect sense to us all whether we are christians or not will be re-written to a different set of 10 rules.

The time of this final tribulation will be 7 years. 3 and a half years from the time the Christians will be taken up in the air (King James Bible I Thessalonians Chapter 4
13 ¶ But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. {prevent: or, come before, or, anticipate, or, precede}
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words. {comfort: or, exhort}
and then 3 and a half years of terrible tribulation. This new world order will be allowed for 3 and a half years only before Jesus comes again to rule in Jerusalem. There will be nothing left after the rapture of the Christians into the atmosphere to show anyone left about God. Finally God will destroy nearly 2/3rds of the population, those left will people who have defied the New World Order and escaped death and persecution because they did not bow the knee.

I write this because I am so terrified for anyone who does not know Jesus. This time of tribulation is coming and will happen and for those who don’t know Jesus, their suffering will be terrible in the end times whether during that time or in hell when they die.

Is this real? Am I talking rubbish? Read Isaiah, Ezekial, Daniel and the New Testament. It is all there. And the proof of it all is that the Old Testament has all come true and is recorded in history books, with the last few years’ prophecy about to happen. The Bible is a book of prophecy and never has there been a more essential time to read this book and accept Jesus than now.
